How to Decrease SI Joint Pain While Pregnant

Relaxin in our body decreases stability in our sacroiliac joint

Here I am 26 weeks pregnant and still moving! I have to say I am thankful for the career path I chose because I have been able to help my body stay strong and mobile as it continues to change!

Pregnancy- this is my first time and I now have a much greater appreciation for all the moms out there who have done this before and multiple times! Although this is my first go around- I have one word of advice and that is to keep on moving!

Our body needs to stay strong for many reasons. Not only to help prevent pain during pregnancy but also to help with labor and recovery. I actually feel worse when sitting or laying down too long. The longer I sit still the harder it is to get up. This was also when I felt the most pain in my SI joint. The pain radiated down to side of my low back into glute and hip. Does this sound familiar to you?

In this video I go over 4 exercises that I started doing every day when I started to develop pain in my SI joint. After a week of doing them consistently, my pain went away!

Check out the video and try them out! If you have any questions or if these exercises didn’t fix your pain give me a call! 401-250-3060
